Comeback King and Queen

If you haven’t heard of Justin Bieber and or Adele, I am almost positive that you live under a rock and to you I bid my condolences.  These two stars have made the grandest re-entrance into America’s hearts this year.

Recently in 2015, Justin Bieber produced his new album, “Purpose”. Many would say that before he released these big hits, he disappeared from the spotlight. After releasing the album, his many hits that took over the music world. His song, “What Do You Mean”, easily made it the number one spot on everyone’s playlist. When he put out the whole album, everyone went crazy. Even those who don’t specifically enjoy the stylings of Justin Bieber still admitted that he definitely made a comeback. With Bieber’s comeback, he tried different styles of music. He has a very popular song that is upbeat pop, “Sorry”. He also tried a slow song, that the nation gobbled up, “Love Yourself”.  Selena Gomez, Bieber’s on and off love affair stood by his side the whole time.

“While people were writing that I was stupid for being in [the relationship], this is what I always saw in him,” Gomez told The New York Times. “I’m like, duh!”

The second-biggest comeback of the year was made by everyone’s idol, Adele. Similar to Justin Bieber Adele definitely vanished from the limelight. Her album was released on November 20, 2015, about four and a half years after her last album was released.  Her song, Hello, rocked the nation. It was played what seemed to be continuously on most radio stations. This song was a signal for the end of Adele’s silence period. Adele troubled many, when we hadn’t heard from her for a while.

“She uses her vocal range well and she uses her diaphragm. She doesn’t sound like she is talking and singing through her nose, she actually opens up her throat and uses her full range,” Freshman Olivia Edwards said.

For these reasons, Justin Bieber and Adele have earned the title, the comeback king and queen of music this year.
