Lovato comes out more “Confident” with her new album

When I think of Demi Lovato, the movies “Camp Rock” and “Princess Protection Program usually flash through my mind. Since Lovato’s Disney Channel past, her fame has grown tremendously as a pop singer, despite a rough patch along the way. Lovato suffered from bulimia and self harm three years ago, but has overcome her past and flourished into one of the most famous artists in the past decade. Released early on in the summer, “Cool for the Summer” was the debut song on Lovato’s new album, Confident. As well as “Cool for the Summer,” Lovato also published “Confident” early for her fans, the Lovatics. First Lady Michelle Obama enjoyed Lovato’s new song so much that she added it to her “Day of the Girl” playlist on Spotify. There is no doubt that this is one of Lovato’s most successful albums, and fans will surely enjoy all of her new songs.

“Cool for the Summer”

This was the first song that Lovato released on Confident, creating an even bigger name for herself and drawing in more fans then she had before. “Cool for the Summer” became one of the most popular songs of the summer with catchy sing-along lyrics and a fun beat.

“Confident”

Confident is my personal favorite song on the album and will clearly be playing on the radio with the empowering message to take control and, of course, be confident. This is one of Lovato’s best punk-rock songs, and it shows the new image of herself—no more heartbreak or struggle.

“Father”

Despite the fact they had a bad relationship, Lovato wrote “Father” about her dad who passed away. This is one of Lovato’s most emotional ballads and an amazing tribute to her father. While still managing to hit some amazing high notes she prays for her father in the song and thanks him for everything he did.

“Stone Cold”

Lovato performed this song at the end of September at the Highline Ballroom in New York. This is one of Lovato’s most emotional ballads and is even considered her best song yet. It is a very inspirational song and is showing that Lovato wants to forget about her rough past and only live in the present.

Lovato has truly grown up from her Disney Channel past and her struggles along they way and has still managed to create an amazing album. There is no doubt that Confident will be a huge success and her concerts will be packed with a countless number of fans. The album ranged from sing along pop songs to tear jerking ballads, but the songs were all able to come together and create a great album for Lovato to share with her fans.
