Concerts this summer

If you’re in town all summer, chances are you plan on hanging out with your friends. If going to Universal and Disney World all summer doesn’t excite you, then there are plenty of concerts to choose from. Touring in Orlando this summer are famous artists in every genre. There is everything from pop star Justin Bieber to legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses.

 

Who: Ellie Goulding

When: Sat, June 4, 7 p.m.

Where: CFE Arena

Price: General Admission (Floor) $75

Ellie Goulding has become one of the most famous singers of today’s pop music, and there’s no doubt that her “Delirium” tour will impress fans. With songs like “Love Me like You Do,” “On My Mind” and “Something in the Way You Move,” she is sure to keep fans engaged and pumped up throughout her concert. This concert is just days after school is over, and if you want to start your summer off on the right note, I definitely recommend going to Goulding’s concert.

 

Who: X Ambassadors

When: Wed, June 8, 6:30 p.m.

Where: House of Blues Orlando

Price: General Admission $23

X Ambassadors is an alternative rock band that has burst into the musical world with hits like “Renegades,” “Jungle” and “Unconsolable.” “VHS” is the band’s first full length album, and they have had many concerts since its release in June, 2015. X Ambassadors has been associated with big names in music like Eminem, Jay Z, Imagine Dragons and Zedd; this concert will be one you won’t want to miss.

 

Who: Selena Gomez

When: Fri, June 10, 7:30 p.m.

Where: Amway Center

Price: $62.50

Selena Gomez released her second solo album titled “Revival” and has had much success with it. After working for Disney Channel for many years on her TV show, “Wizards of Waverly Place,” her career shifted from TV and movies to singing. Gomez released three songs early, giving fans a sneak peak of her album. She released “Good for You,” “Same Old Love” and “Hands to Myself.” With these three hit songs, and eight more on “Revival,” Gomez’s concert is sure to be super exciting.

 

Who: Justin Bieber

When: Thursday, June 30, 7:30 p.m.

Where: Amway Center

Price: Upper Level $281

Since Justin Bieber’s popularity has grown since the release of his latest album, “Purpose,” there is no doubt that his concert is one of the most anticipated concerts of the summer. Newcomer Post Malone is opening for Bieber on the tour and hopes to impress fans. On the tour expected songs to hear are “Love Yourself,” “Sorry” and “The Feeling” as well as many of Bieber’s past hits like “Boyfriend,” “Baby” and “Somebody to Love.”

 

Who: Halsey

When: Wed, July 6, 8 pm

Where: CFE Arena

Price: $27.50

Halsey has made a huge name for herself after posting many covers of other songs on YouTube. By 2014, she posted her song “Ghost” on SoundCloud, receiving attention from many fans and resulting in signing with a record label. In 2015, she released her debut album, “Badlands,” which hit number two on the U.S. charts. With hits like “New Americana” and “Ghost” and famous alternative rock band, Bad Suns, as the opening act, this will be a concert you won’t want to miss.

 

Who: Guns N’ Roses

When: Fri, July 29, 8 pm

Where: Orlando Citrus Bowl

Price: $285.75

Guns N’ Roses is one of the most iconic rock bands to this day. They formed in the 80s with five members, three of whom are still in the band today. They are the singers of hits that almost everyone knows such as “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Paradise City” and “Welcome To The Jungle.” The band has had a very successful career, releasing six albums and winning over 10 awards including World’s Best-Selling Hard Rock Artist of the Year in 1993. Guns N’ Roses is one of the most legendary rock bands in the world, and attending this concert would surely be an event no one wants to miss.
