Concerts coming to town

If summer travel caused you to miss one of the many concerts in Orlando this summer, don’t worry because you still have a chance to catch one of the many artists coming to town.  Many artists and bands of all different genres are performing at various Orlando locations including the Amway Center and the Hard Rock Live.  Even though it’s only the beginning of the year, school can be very stressful. Take a break from all your schoolwork and catch one of these late summer concerts.

Who: Goo Goo Dolls

When: August 30

Where: Hard Rock Live

The Goo Goo Dolls are an alternative rock band most well known for their single “Iris” from 1998. The band has had much success since its formation in 1996 with 14 Top 10 songs. In May, The Goo Goo Dolls released the band’s eleventh album titled Boxes. With 11 new tracks on the album, this concert is definitely a must-see.

When: September 8

Where: House of Blues

Flume is an Australian record producer and electronic musician who has lately been making a name for himself with songs like “Never Be Like You” and “Say It.” His fun electronic beat will definitely make for an unforgettable concert.

Who: Maroon 5

When: September 9

Where: Amway Center

Because of their memorable songs and Adam Levine’s amazing vocals, Maroon 5 is one of the most talked about bands in today’s culture.  After releasing its fifth album, titled V, in 2014 the band has been on tour all across the U.S. and Europe since last year.  Tracks like “Sugar” and “Animals” are featured on this album along with nine other songs. Past hits like “She Will Be Loved” and “Sunday Morning” will likely be performed at the concert.

Who: Meghan Trainor

When: September 18

Where: CFE Arena

Meghan Trainor has become a big name after releasing her debut album, Title, in 2015 which went on to be Number 1 on the US Billboard 200 Chart.  With catchy singles like “No” and “Me Too,” Trainor released her second album, Thank You, earlier this year. Trainor’s concert will definitely be full of sing-along hits and a fun retro vibe.

Who: James Bay

When: September 19

Where: Hard Rock Live

James Bay is an English singer who has released one album as well as many extended plays (EPs).  He is most well known for his song, “Let it Go,” which reached number 16 on the US charts.  Bay has a soothing, yet distinguished voice.  His concert will definitely be full of hits from his album Chaos and the Calm, which led to three Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist.
