While most people only have one life to live, Diane LeBeau has had seven. From spending six moths abroad in Spain to opening a wakeboarding business in the Cayman Islands, her next adventure lands in Trinity as the new assistant librarian.
Originally from outside of Boston, LeBeau began working in sales for the ice hockey team, the Boston Bruins after attending college at Western New England University.
“It was incredible, I got to do on-ice promotions, and I also did a lot of the luxury suites for different companies,” LeBeau said. “So I would sell to big corporations and help with that.”
After the Bruins, LeBeau worked in pharmaceutical sales for more than eight years.
Shortly after LeBeau’s work in Pharmaceutical Sales, she moved to the Cayman Islands where LeBeau and her husband opened a wakeboarding business. Where they, there taught customers how to wakeboard for more than six years. This business spanned from teaching first timers to taking out experienced wakeboarders.
“My husband, he was a huge skater growing up, skateboarder, anything to do with board sports.” LeBeau said. “So when we went there, he loved wakeboarding … we opened it up, (and) marketed it”
After LeBeau’s time in the Islands, her family of four originally moved to South
Carolina before relocating to Florida. LeBeau then started teaching preschool and kindergarten at Layer Elementary in Winter Springs.
“I love (Layer) it because I learned so much through all the training in public school,” LeBeau said. “It’s so much different than private schools. I learned so much (about) different classroom management (styles) and different ways to deal with children of all backgrounds.”
LeBeau brings her experience in many different fields spanning from international
business all the way to teaching at Trinity. She is excited to be apart of the Trinity family!
“I’m just learning all new systems that I’ve never done before.” LeBeau said. “So I’m just excited to be here.”
