Matthew Halpin’s “Senior Shatters Silence: Justin Davis excels on the court despite hearing impairment” was recognized as a Story of the Year Finalist by the National Scholastic Press Association. This award means his article is in the top 10 sports articles in the nation last year. This is the highest individual award we have won from the NSPA in my time as an adviser. They are still announcing a few more categories, so we may have some more good news next week.

Jake Raffa’s “Donated Uniforms Add New Life to Varsity Football Team” won third place for Sports News from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

Ryan Latterell and Kayla Alexandre won Honorable Mention for Full Page Photo Layout for their Fall Showcase.

The entire Voice photo department won 3rd place for a portfolio of their work from last school year.
