“A Christmas Story”
“A Christmas Story” is a holiday classic. It stars Peter Billingsley as Ralphie Parker who only wants one thing for Christmas: a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Eventually, Ralphie ends up getting the rifle for Christmas, fulfilling all of his Christmas wishes. This movie is full of plenty of comedic aspects that are still recognized by fans which include licking the flag pole and the legendary leg lamp.
“The Santa Clause”
In the first movie in “The Santa Clause” series, Tim Allen portrays Scott Calvin. On Christmas Eve, Calvin accidentally causes Santa to fall of his roof. Calvin takes his young son Charlie (Eric Lloyd) to the North Pole so they can finish all of Santa’s deliveries for the night. Allen is hilarious in this movie, and if you enjoy this film, be sure to check out the other two in the series.
“Love Actually”
If you’re a sucker for romantic comedies, this movie is your perfect cup of tea. “Love Actually” is about nine people during Christmas time who are all somehow connected. This film is the perfect mixture of laughs, romance and British accents. Alan Rickman and Hugh Grant star in this film and it will surely put you in the holiday spirit.
“How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is an adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ book of the same name. Jim Carrey plays the Grinch in this movie and his main mission is to ruin Christmas for the jolly citizens of Whoville. The Grinch’s plans are soon changed when he meets Cindy Lou Who, portrayed by Taylor Momsen, who surprisingly befriends the Grinch. This is the perfect Christmas movie for people of all ages and will surely put you in the perfect holiday mood.
