Big Guava music festival is set to bring some of the hottest bands to Florida in May.

While last year’s Big Guava music festival brought three days of music, rides and food trucks, this year’s festival is shaping up to shine even brighter. Featuring indie favorite The Strokes, the line-up rivals that of legendary festivals such as Bonnaroo.

Make sure to make the trip to the Florida State Fairgrounds and Amphitheater on May 8 & 9 in order to not miss your favorite bands and also enjoy thrill rides and tasty food trucks. Tickets go on sale January 23, so make sure to purchase yours before time runs out.

Acts We’re Looking Forward To:

The Strokes: The Strokes are an indie classic whose tunes top nearly every alternative chart. While frontman Julian Casablancas graced the stage at last year’s Coastline Festival, his solo performance just wasn’t up to par with The Strokes we know and love. This year, we can’t wait to catch one of our favorite bands together in its full glory.

Tracks to listen to: “Last Nite,” “Machu Picchu,” “Trying Your Luck”

Hozier: Set to become one of the hottest acts of 2015, Big Guava is offering music-lovers one of the first opportunities to see Hozier perform live. The smash hit “Take Me To Church” has been playing non-stop on the radio, and now we get to see if he can live up to our expectations live.

Tracks to listen to: “Take Me To Church,” “Jackie and Wilson,” “Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene”

Passion Pit: Returning to Florida for the first time since hitting the stage at Coastline Festival in 2013, Passion Pit is sure to be a festival favorite. The band’s effectual stage energy is impossible to resist, making for a feel-good set that you don’t want to miss.

Tracks to listen to: “Take A Walk,” “Carried Away,” “Little Secrets”

Milky Chance: Even though folk duo Milky Chance is just hitting the music scene, they’ve garnered a large fan following thanks to the success of the duo’s single “Stolen Dance.” The German musicians draw elements from both reggae and electronic music, creating a sound that is uniquely their own.

Tracks to listen to: “Stolen Dance,” “Down By The River,” “Flash Junk Mind”

Full Line-up: The Strokes, Pixies, Hozier, Passion Pit, Ryan Adams, TV On The Radio, James Blake, Cold War Kids, Banks, Run the Jewels, Jenny Lewis, Death From Above 1979, Action Bronson, Big Data, Iration, Milky Chance and more.
