Dustin Lynch told his audience, “It’s not about how much money you have or how much stuff you have, it’s about making memories with friends and family,” when he came to the House of Blues on Dec. 3 for his “Hell of a Night” Tour. Lynch lived out this motto perfectly while on stage by dancing and singing with a smile on his face. The Bite got a chance to attend the concert, and it was quite a show.
The night started out with a performance by Tyler Rich, one of two of Dustin’s openers. Tyler Rich is a new name in the country world, but that doesn’t mean he can’t get a crowd dancing. Dustin wouldn’t be on stage for about another two hours, but with openers like Tyler Rich and Chris Lane, time flew.
Chris Lane is another new name in country, but with a good stage presence and an even better smile, he is sure to become a household name in the near future. Lane showed off more than just his countryside by performing some popular pop songs. The crowd was singing and dancing along to songs like “Bye Bye Bye,” “I Can’t Feel My Face,” as well as his own country song “Fix.” The Bite had a chance to chat with Lane which you can check out here, https://thetrinityvoice.com/the-bite/2015/12/04/fifteen-minutes-of-chris-lane/
After Lane’s performance there was about 30 minutes of standing as the audience waited in anticipation for Lynch to come rock the stage. Fortunately, there was a DJ who had the packed house singing and dancing so audience members never got bored.
As soon as Lynch ran out on stage in his cowboy hat and tight T-shirt, the girls in the crowd shrieked in excitement. He started the night with an energetic performance of “To the Sky” from his 2014 album, Where It’s At. “To the Sky” features an upbeat chorus and has plenty of opportunities for Lynch’s guitarists to show off. Lynch kept the audience on its feet with two of his older, but popular songs “She Cranks My Tractor” and “Halo.” Lynch’s music is for the most part fun and high energy, which made for an equally fun and lively performance.
