On March 3rd, 2026, the Trinity boys lacrosse team fought against Apopka high school, winning 12 to 5.
The tension was high because of the close loss from the night before, pushing the Saints to work even harder.
Freshman Brayden Kells played as goalie for the team for the first time, doing an amazing job. Senior goalie Olliver Polsinelli was ecstatic, cheering him on each time a goal was blocked.
“We have a lot of talent,” Polsinelli said. “Brayden is looking great as a freshman. I’m hoping to come back (in the future) and hopefully watch us win some games.”
The game started slow, but quickly started leaning in the Saints direction during the second quarter. Juniors Brodie Wordell and David Myers each gained two points for the team, with sophomore Brady Comb earning a hat trick, leading the team with a 7-3 into halftime.
When they returned from halftime, the saints did not slow down. 8th grader Michael Gallagher scored his first goal of the night, pushing the score to 8-4. The saints defense played incredibly, allowing almost no goals to get close to the net.
In the fourth quarter, energy surged through the team. David Myers and Brady Kohm scored one goal each before junior defense player Avery Sasser scored a goal and junior veer patel scored his first goal of the season. These plays led the saints to victory, ending the night with 12-5.
“I’m looking forward to scoring more goals (in the future),” Patel said.
